Equine assisted therapeutic riding instructors are professionals who provide specialized horse-riding instruction as a means of therapy and comfort to participants with physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges.

Being a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) involves completing a rigorous traning and certification process through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) followed by yearly participation in continuing education courses.
